Consultation description

This consultation relates to the implementation of Directive 2013/59/EURATOM laying down basic safety standards for protection against the dangers arising from exposure to ionising radiation.

It invites views on the proposal by the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland (HSENI) to approve, for use in Northern Ireland, a new Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) issued by the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and the Health and Safety Executive for Great Britain (HSE). The ACOP supports the Radiation (Emergency Preparedness and Public Information) Regulations 2019 (REPPIR 2019), and can be read across to the Radiation (Emergency Preparedness and Public Information) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2019 (REPPIR 2019 NI).
