REPPIR ACOP - Analysis and summary of consultation responses and HSENI comments

HSENI proposals in relation to the health and safety Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) - 'The Radiation (Emergency Preparedness and Public Information) Regulations' (L126) - Analysis and summary of consultation respnses and HSENI comments.

  1. This is a summary report of the outcome of the HSENI’s formal, statutory consultation on proposals to approve for use in Northern Ireland the ACOP on 'The Radiation (Emergency Preparedness and Public Information) Regulations' (L126) published by the Health and Safety Executive in Great Britain
  2. The consultation document was published on the HSENI website on 10 February 2023, and the consultation ran to 14 April 2023. Letters were issued to approximately 440 consultees inviting comments on the proposals, costs relevant to Northern Ireland, and the conclusion that the proposals would have no adverse effect on section 75 groups. The consultation document was viewed on the HSENI website some 94 times by a total of 72 unique visitors. The details of the responses received to the consultation are set out in the table below:
